For me, Academia Buenos Aires has been the ideal place to freshen up my Spanish. Students will spend three weeks in February participating in home stays and undertaking an intensive Latin American culture course. I had traveled extensively through Latin America before doing my Master's degree, but had never gone through a more More. The course will include intensive Latin and Greek practical palaeography seminars, lectures on codicology and visits to manuscript libraries. LATIN An Intensive Course by FLOYD L. Intensive group courses at the academy are taught by experienced and highly motivated teachers, all of whom have university degrees in relevant disciplines (linguistics, literature, education). Many of the teaching staff also give classes or do research at local universities. The following courses are specially designed for IFSA-Butler students on the Buenos Aires Intermediate program. Maybe a good deal for the next years. Latin 107 is Hunter's intensive course in Beginning Latin. This will be an excellent introduction to Latin American and the program. I am copying information forwarded by Dr. Swain of Bemidji State University concerning two intensive language courses in Latin and Old English. This one-semester, 6-credit class, introduces students to the basics of the Latin language, including vocabulary, grammar, and syntax. Every Summer, La Fondation Humanitas offers Intensive Latin and Ancient Greek courses at Loyola High School.
